ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS NOW!
Deadline to apply is June 30, 2026.
The June S. Anderson Foundation Scholarship is designed to provide full tuition support to non-traditional women students at Middle Tennessee State University who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a field that is historically underrepresented by women. The Foundation’s goal is to remove financial barriers and empower women who have overcome significant challenges to complete their education and prepare for meaningful careers.
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an underrepresented major. Applicants must be women, at least 23 years of age, classified as non-traditional students, and able to provide their MTSU M# (student identification number). Only current MTSU students who meet all eligibility criteria will be considered.
As part of the application process, students must submit their most recent tax return to verify financial need and provide an official transcript from MTSU. In addition, applicants are required to submit the names and email addresses of three individuals who will complete letters of recommendation on their behalf. These recommendations must include one personal character reference, one professional or employment reference, and one academic ability reference. After the application is submitted, each recommender will automatically receive an email notification with instructions to complete and submit their letter. Applications will not be considered complete until all required materials, including recommendation letters, have been received.
The scholarship application opens annually in February and remains open through April. Recipients are selected in May of each year and are notified shortly thereafter.
