Kayla Albee,

An anthropology major with minors in English and history, Kayla is a first-generation student nearing the end of a ten-year journey to her degree. Despite the long road, she has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA. For her, this scholarship is a vital financial bridge. She shared with MTSU News that the award is a “blessing” that relieves the burden of student loans, validating her years of dedication. Upon her graduation in Spring 2025, she plans to transition into a master’s program for public history to prepare for a career in museum curation or academia.

Heather Mason,

For Heather Mason, balancing a demanding course load with the responsibilities of raising her 9-year-old son has required immense dedication. A plant and soil science major scheduled to graduate next spring, Heather shared that this scholarship serves as powerful validation for every late night spent studying. She noted that the foundation’s belief in her journey provides the “motivation” needed to reach the finish line. After she earns her degree, Heather envisions launching a sustainable farm that merges herbal medicine and agritourism with a focus on environmental stewardship.

Hannah Evans,

For aerospace senior Hannah, the path to the cockpit has been anything but a straight line. After high school, she paused her dreams to provide essential support for her family and care for her aging grandmother. Despite being in and out of the classroom for nearly a decade, her determination to become a professional pilot never wavered. She shared that after so many years of uncertainty, receiving this scholarship “means the world” and serves as a powerful validation that her seat in the flight deck is well-deserved.
